Why we built this
If you run a business, you know the reality. Your data lives across Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Shopify, Stripe, HubSpot — perhaps all of them. Every tool has its own dashboard, its own reports, its own version of the truth.
You invest hours each week gathering numbers, trying to answer fundamental questions: Are we genuinely profitable? Will cash flow be a concern next month? Which customers need attention?
Larger organisations have dedicated teams and sophisticated tools to answer these questions. Most SMBs / SMEs rely on spreadsheets, periodic reports, and experience.

Our journey
Recognising the gap
After years of working with SMBs / SMEs, a clear pattern emerged: business owners had access to more data than ever, but less clarity on what it meant. Enterprise BI tools were powerful but prohibitively expensive and complex. The alternative was spreadsheets and intuition.
A different approach
What if AI could provide the kind of analysis that previously required a team of analysts — but at a price point and simplicity level that works for growing businesses? What if every SMB / SME could have a trusted advisor monitoring their business health around the clock?
Building Meridian Pulse
We assembled a team committed to making business intelligence genuinely accessible. We chose Claude by Anthropic for its reasoning capability and built a platform that connects to the tools businesses already rely on — delivering insights in plain English.
First clients
We opened Meridian Pulse to our first clients. The early results were encouraging: businesses gained visibility into cash flow patterns, discovered hidden margin issues, and — most importantly — felt more confident in their decisions.
The partner programme
We realised the best way to reach SMBs is through the accountants and bookkeepers who already advise them. We built a partner programme where accountants earn 20% recurring commission for every client they refer — aligning our growth with theirs.
